How to apply:
  • Please read the prospectus carefully regarding all requirements. Duly filled application forms either provided along with prospectus procured from the institute's admission counter, or downloaded from the website of the institute, has to be submitted within the stipulated date at the admission counter.
 
  • Regarding INTERNET FORM DOWNLOAD: The Application Form downloaded from the link given below has to be duly filled after reading the instructions in this webpage, and submitted BY HAND at the institute's Admission Counter. Applications sent by post will not be accepted.
 
 
 
  • Form submission will begin from : 2nd May 2019
  • Last date of submission of form at the admission counter of the institute: 14th June 2019.
  • Office timings: 10 am to 3.30 pm  (Lunch break; 12.30 - 1 pm)
Documents   (Self-attested) to be produced along with application form during submission  at the office counter: 
1)   copy of age-proof (Admit Card) 
 2)   copy of qualifying examination marksheet (Class X)
       (Note -  Class VIII marksheet/ certificate for Welder if the candidate has not passed Class X )
3)  SC/ST Certificate if applicable
4) Aadhaar Card of the student and of the parents
 
Admission Procedure:
 
Selections will be based on a merit list prepared as per the marks secured in the Admission Test for 50 marks to be conducted on Physical Science and Mathematics. English skills will be tested for 5 marks out of 50. Candidates in Merit List will be called for an interview after which the first list of selected candidates will be offered admission. If seats are not filled up from the first list, candidates next in the merit list will be invited in a second list and so on.

Candidates are requested to keep in touch at least till September 2019 for any vacancies.
 
Date of Admission Test  :  To be announced after 15th May 
Exact date, time and venue of exam will be mentioned in the Registration Slip on submission of the Admission Forms.
 
 
Reservation:
As per norms there is reservation of 22% for SC, 6% for ST & 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates. Candidates wishing to avail reservation should produce attested copies of the relevant documents.
 
Physical standards and mental requirement:
The candidate should possess sound mental and physical health, should be free from any chronic disease / disability and have no cardio vascular problems or surgical deformities. The candidate should not have a past history of fits or psychiatric ailments etc. The following physical standards are expected in many industries and therefore are also required to be examined prior to admission to the course:

Personality Requirements
   
The candidate should

  • be safety conscious 
 
Semester Fees: 
  •  There are two semesters per year.
  •  In the first year fees are collected in two installments - Rs.12,800/ during admission and           Rs.4,200/-  in the month of March 2020.
  •  Fees once paid during admission is not refundable.
  • Fees may be increased during session due to serious unforeseen situation.
  
 
Working hours:       9.45 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. from Monday to Friday
                                          9.45 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. on Saturdays.
 
Timing may change as per requirement.
 
Special stress is laid on attendance during the start of Prayer at 9.45 a.m.
 
Holidays The institute has a list of holidays for 30 days in a calendar year. There is no winter/summer vacation as per norms.
 
Attendance
CTS courses in ITI are full-time courses with having sessional marks for daily work in the subjects. Skills learnt on one day are invariably linked with the training imparted on the next day.  Hence for securing good training great stress is laid on full attendance.  Minimum compulsory attendance is 80%. Only in case of serious medical or other issues students with lesser attendance can be considered for permission to appear in the All India Trade Test, provided they cover the hours lost in the shop floor by working in extra shifts.
Students absent for more than 10 days without information may be discharged from the course.
 
Uniform: Two sets of White shirt ; Navy Blue full pant ; Leather shoes ; Blue sweater for winter.
 
Hostel Facilities: No hostel facility is available. However many students stay in rented rooms in nearby locations outside the campus.
 
Concessions: Railway concession is available in the local trains for students commuting daily from their homes to the institute.
 
Scholarships: 15 to 20 Students who are meritorious but financially weak are provided with scholarships every year.
 
Bank Loan: "Skill Loan"  of Government of India is available from Bank of India. The institute facilitates in the matter of securing the loan.  However this is done only after the student has taken admission after the first instalment of fees.
 
Library: All text books have to compulsorily bought by students for the courses. However our Library has a rich resource of study materials including syllabus books brought out by NIMI, Chennai for issue and reference. 
 
Caution Money:  Caution Money is refundable after leaving the course. However it is to be claimed within three years of leaving failing which it will be forfeited. Caution money may be increased during the course period if there is excessive damage/loss.
 
Extra curricular activities
Games like volleyball, football, cricket; gardening; participation on special occassions like Vishwakarma and Saraswati Pujas; programs in Belurmath as volunteers; publication of Annual Souvenir, wall magazine; occasional excursion.
 
Mobiles
Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited in the campus. Students failing to follow this discipline may be fined or if necessary discharged from the course.
 
Undertaking from Trainees
On joining the institute the candidates will be required to give an undertaking that they will not undertake any other full time course during this course period;  to abide by the discipline of the Institute;  to take care of the tools and equipment entrusted to their charge; not to discontinue the course; not to indulge in any political activities within the campus, and to confirm to any other conditions prescribed in the interest of the course. If they fail to fulfill the terms of the undertaking they may have to face disciplinary action including fines or may have to even forfeit their seat in case of severe breach of rules.
